Our first KOC 12067 Car Rally/Treasure Hunt takes place on November 01/2008. It starts at St. Francis Xavier Church at 10.00 am. Cars along with their respective drivers and 3 additional co-drivers (maximum of 4 per car no exceptions) have to be present at the Church at 9.30 am sharp for the briefing.
The rally starts at 10.00 am and will take about 2 hours (you need to drive on Highways, regular roads and also unpaved roads) and about 50-70 kms in total. This is not a speed rally. You will be asked to follow route directions (some in code), expected to drive at posted speed limits, pick up certain items along the way and answer questions on what you see along the route. At the end I can assure you that you will probably see areas of our backyard that you have not seen before.
The rally will end at a designated point where we will check all the answers, and have lunch. The total cost = $25.00 per car. This $25.00 includes your entry fee, accommodates and defrays the cost of envelopes, printing, stickers, additional treasure hunt material, prizes, forms and lunch for 4 people. What an unbelievable deal. Refreshments will be at a nominal price.
We need you to sign up on the website; be sure to include..... As an example:
Car #1... Drivers name first, + three co-drivers names. Please DO NOT sign up as Driver + 3 as we need to avoid duplicate names. There are a limited number of participating cars. Once full, there will be no more entries.
If by October 01/2008, we do not achieve our target, we will approach other councils. Money has to be paid shortly after. There will be no last minute entries. Please remember that October 01/2008 is the deadline for entries on the website (or the sign up sheet)
