Knight of the Month Award for November 2005

Brother Avelino Fernandes was awarded "Best Knight for the Month of November 2005." Brother Avelino is involved in many activities, that benefit our Brother Knights. To mention a few, He organized our 8th Anniversary Dance, looks after the litter-not street campaigns, and is a Fourth Degree Sir Knight. Grand Knight Brother Marcel Lemen is seen presenting the 'Knight of the Month Award to Brother Avelino Fernandes at our General Meeting on Nov 21, 2005. Congratulations Brother Avelino.

Squires Pot-Luck

Dear Brother Knights,
On behalf of the Squires Circle Officers and Counsellors we are pleased to invite Knights to the Squires Pot-Luck Event to be held on Friday, November 25, 2005 after the evening Mass. The Event is to take place at the Fr. D'Souza Hall at the St. Francis Xavier Church. The Squires will be attending with their parents, siblings and buddies. Blood Donor Clinic


Dear Brothers,

As you may have recently found out from Canadian Blood Services (CBS), we will not be holding a Blood Donor Clinic at SFX Church on Saturday, November 26th. However, Christ the King council will host their first Blood Donor Clinic on that date.

CBS needs extra blood units as we move into a critical part of the year. If you would like to give blood and at the same time assist our fellow brothers with their clinic, please contact Bro. Sunil by Friday Nov 11, 2005.

Dear Worthy Grand Knight Marcel,
On behalf of the Squires Circle Officers # 4681, Counsellors Andrew Krajewski, Luis Gomes, Albert Green and the undersigned, I would like to express my grateful thanks to the KOC Council # 12067, Brother Knights and their families who participated by way of donating baked good, purchase of baked goods, Brother knights assisting the Squires over the two days by supervision and by allowing their sons to participate actively during the bake sale period. I must also mention here this year's success could not have been possible, without the active support of the parishioners and their kind donation. As a consequence, the squires were able to increase sales by over 50% and netprofit exceeded by over 65% compared to the previous year. As indicated in our previous communications, the squires will be donating a portion of the proceeds towards the following:
  • Vincent de Paul Society
  • Seminarian
  • St. Francis Xavier Church

In closing, I wish to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for your kind generosity and support towards the squires circle # 4681.

The Knights of Columbus Councils of Mississauga are holding our annual Blue Mass on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 10:00 am. The Mass is offered for the members of the Police, Firefighters, Emergency Service Personnel and Veterans. This year it is being held at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church which is located at 4260 Cawthra Road,(Location map>> click here) just south of Eastgate Pkwy. NYED Pledge

Hello Brothers,

Hope all is well at your end. We are in the process of launching our New Year's Eve Dance (NYED) campaign and are looking for sponsors. Would you please pass on the attached information to anyone you know that may be interested in donating a prize for our New Year's Eve Gala Dance event, or advertising in our program?

This year we are planning to print a program that will be given out to each patron at our gala event. Our target is to have 400 people in attendance that evening with proceeds from our event earmarked for cancer research.

I have pasted a copy of our advertising flyer below and attached a copy of our NYED to be held at the International Banquet Hall. We would appreciate any patronage from your family and friends at our gala event.
