Tentative guidelines and rules for borrowing library material
The following will serve as guidelines and rules to help streamline the process.
- Eligibility: All members of the Council who are in possession of a current membership card are eligible to borrow library material.
- Borrowing:
- Borrowing library material will require the submission of a request via email or at General Meetings
Request form duly completed and signed by the member together with his current Membership card (for perusal and return)
- The maximum periods for borrowing will be:
Books: 4 weeks
DVD’s and Video’s: 2 weeks
There will be no extensions allowed.
- In fairness to everyone who wishes to avail themselves of the library resources, a ‘late return fee’ of $1.00 per day for delay will be charged after the maximum borrowing period stated above. Monies collected in this manner will be used for the purchase of additional library material.
3. Damage and/or loss of library material
It is expected that all the members will extend their full co-operation and support to protect and safeguard the material borrowed so that they could be preserved in good condition for the continued enjoyment of all the Brothers in the Council. Members will be liable for the replacement cost of any material which is damaged or lost.
