Parish Picnic - Saturday July 12, 2008
Hi All
St.Francis Xavier parish picnic hosted by Knights of Colombus is scheduled for Saturday, July 12th 2008 at Meadowvale Park (Area B) from 10 am - 6pm. The major intersection is Second Line & Old Derry Rd.
There are games for adults and kids...volleyball,soccer,bingo, tug of war etc.
Bring your own lunch or buy lunch ticket for $7.00 per person (adults & children same price)
The lucnh menu is - Chicken,Rice, Salad & Pop. Please purchase your tickets in advance.
There will be barbecue in the evening and the cost per ticket is & 3.00 each (adult & Children same price).
This includes BBQ Sausage/Hamburger & Pop. The tickets for the BBQ will be available at the park.

Carmel Heights Sing-Along June 28, 2008
Brothers,
I would like to thank brothers Andrew and Luis for coordinating our first Seniors Summer Sing Along which was held at Carmel Heights Seniors Home. The event was enjoyed by all seniors and guests in attendance. A special thanks to brothers Luis and Alan for playing their guitars, brother Ashley for donating his time and DJ system, brother Reynold for donating the sandwiches, cake, pop and water, and brothers Hilary and Kelvin for assisting with the set-up. Finally, thanks to all the brothers and their families that came out to sing along with our seniors.

Ride for a child with Autism
Worthy District Deputy and Worthy Grand Knight,
Please read the request below. Gavin Jansen who is a very close friend of the family and belongs to the Mericiful Redeemer Parish. Would you be able to pass this request to the other Councils as well.
There may be non-working (retired) Knights who will be willing to provide this service with or without charge.

Hi Sunil,
I need your help if possible.
I met with a lady yesterday. She lives close to Hwy 10 and ceremonial.
She is a single mother doing two jobs and she earns approx; $ 24000 a year .
She has one child 7 years old who has Autism.
She is desperately in need of someone who could transport her son to / from school in Etobicoke.
He starts school at 0900 and finishes at 3p.m
Someone from the school will pick him / drop him to and from the car.
She can't afford much but she says she can pay about $25 per day for the transport.
Is there any possibility for the knights or any other parish groups to help with this request?
