Pictures Courtesy Bro. Paul D'Souza

The Council held its annual Dinner Dance on Saturday 26^th September 2009 in the Church Hall.

The function was well attended and it was a pleasure to receive complimentary comments from all that they had good food, great music and an enjoyable evening. Continuing in its trend, the event was a great success.

I thank Brothers who attended, the guest Councils and all other guests for their presence.

Our special thanks go to Brother Edward Rodrigues and his committee and others who spared no efforts in organizing the event and making it successful.

Double Star Council Award

Bill C-384 to Legalize Euthanasia

Worthy Bro. Luis,

Here-below is the link to -" A Catholic Perspective: Euthanasia & End of Life Issues"

from the Archdiocese of Toronto, provided by Fr. O'Brien to share with the knights.

The information is about, Bill C-384 to Legalize Euthanasia, coming up for 2nd Reading in Parliament.

The Bill infringes on the Right to Life. Its adoption raises serious issues of harmful consequences.

It is basically against the teachings of our Faith.

We, Knights, should be well informed about the Bill, in defence of our Church and human Life .

Could you please have it posted in our Council's website for the information of our members?

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries.

Thank you

Fraternally,

Bro. Simon Mendes
